Jacqueline Per
Co-Chair, Agency Board

Jacqueline is the Executive Director, Learning and Research, and Project Lead for the SFU School of Medicine at Fraser Health Authority, the largest regional health authority in Canada. FHA’s focus is the transformation of the system to improve the health and health outcomes for over two million people in 20 diverse communities. Jacqueline is a registered nurse and brings over 30 years of healthcare and strategic leadership experience to her portfolio. Jacqueline spent 25 years in Vancouver Coastal Health as a clinician and held various leadership roles prior to joining Fraser Health in 2016.

Since joining Fraser Health, she has held various Executive level leadership roles including 6 years as the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer. Over the last 8 years, she has lead work in BC to address the Health Human Resource crisis by disrupting accepted perspectives and thinking on current legislative, policy, practice and education/training mindsets. Jacqueline has built strong collaborative partnerships with other BC Health Authorities, with Ministries of Health and Post Secondary Education and Future Skills, Unions, Post Secondary Institutions, and external agencies as well as partnered on national level health human resource advisory committees advising the Federal Government on responses to the HHR crisis.

A diploma prepared RN, Jacqueline received her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Victoria, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia and is an adjunct professor in the School of Nursing at UBC.
