Education and training: Undergraduate degree in related field, i.e. psychology, education, business, social science.

Professional certification: CCDP designation preferred

Experience: Minimum three years case management and/or employment counselling experience, Integrated Case Management (ICM) database preferred; clear Criminal Record Check –including vulnerable persons.



  • Collaboratively working with diverse and often challenging client population conduct multi-dimensional, formal needs assessments and refer to specialized assessments to assist clients in achieving labour market or community attachment.
  • Accurately assess eligibility and suitability within the Employment Program of BC client tiers maximizing tier revenue.
  • Using effective communication skills build trust and rapport and maintain relationships with clients to allow for the transfer of required information, and promote a co-operative and productive work environment.
  • Assist clients with the development or revision of appropriate, individualized Action Plans (AP) that consist of timely, cost effective service and benefit plans and provide consistent monitoring, support and follow-up within a timely manner to enhance client self-sufficiency and sustainable labour market or community attachment.
  • Ensure secure and accurate input of all client activities and service requests, case notes and other pertinent documents into the Integrated Case Management (ICM) ministry database, and ascertain all information is current and complete in compliance of project mandate and agency quality assurance measures.
  • Assist clients with application process and achievement of successful outcome (approval) for Skills Training, Wage Subsidy and other project employment supports
  • Negotiate and determine client financial supports, commitments, payment schedules, compliance, repayment terms and conditions on benefit plan agreements.
  • Engage in regular case conferences and report on unusual, complex, demanding cases immediately.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and performance evaluation process; positively interact and support all clients and team members.
  • Liaise and network with outside agencies, professionals and project partners and consult on case management issues.
  • Adhere to all program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of labour market information, current community resources and interventions and federal and provincial government sponsored programs, employment issues, funding sources, job training and employment opportunities.
  • Work as part of an evolving multi-faceted and multi-agency team to deliver a comprehensive and cost effective program designed to meet individual employment and community attachment needs, maximizing revenue streams.


Working with diverse and challenging clientele (including members of specialized populations) to achieve labour market or community attachment within guidelines established in the Employment Program of BC contract. This is accomplished by: developing respectful, collaborative relationships with clients; accurately identifying needs, services and supports through a structured assessment process, building on client strengths through an integrated case management model and ensuring individual tracking, timely and effective follow-up and support until all activities are complete, outcomes are achieved, while maximizing client tier revenues.

Work Hours: 35 hours/week

Salary: $1,861.30 (GS 10 Step 1)
