Our Community Education programs allow our agency to quickly assess, adapt, and respond to the fast-changing needs of those we serve, and to influence systemic changes required to build stronger families and a more cohesive society.
Family Services of Greater Vancouver, in partnership with other organizations and a variety of funders, is able to offer a range of shared empowerment, literacy, educational, and skills development programs that support a diverse group of individuals and families to build more healthy and resilient communities.
Our services offer a platform of opportunities for those who participate, to actively engage and integrate in their communities, as well as to increase their participation at all levels of society.
Groups and workshops are offered in a range of educational areas including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- General parenting education, health literacy and support groups
- Early childhood care
- Food skills
- Money skills, financial empowerment, and one-on-one coaching
- Community involvement and participation
- Caring neighbours
