WE CONTINUE TO SERVE:
FIND SUPPORT DURING COVID-19
At Family Services of Greater Vancouver, the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community is our top priority. Throughout the pandemic, we have remained committed to serving the most vulnerable, and we will continue to adapt to provide uninterrupted access to essential supports for those who rely on in-person services. Clients are not required to show proof of vaccination in order to access FSGV programs and services.
Staff Vaccination
To keep FSGV staff and clients safe, the agency has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy. All staff, across all FSGV locations, are fully vaccinated. For staff working in person, additional measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are also in place, including frequent hand washing, social distancing, and wearing well-fitted masks.
Some programs and services are currently being delivered remotely. Please see the program updates below or get in touch with your FSGV contact to learn more.

DIRECTIONS YOUTH SERVICES
Our regular services for homeless and at-risk youth have shifted to best ensure the safety of our clients and staff. Our Drop-In Services Centre on Burrard Street continues to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are offering youth access to the drop-in space in limited numbers so that we can promote appropriate social distancing and sanitization. Youth can access bathrooms, showers and laundry.
Our shelter program remains open. Meals are being provided meals in-house or out of the front door in take out containers. Harm reduction supplies are available.
Understanding that food security is an ongoing and growing concern, we have arranged a food pantry so that clients can select canned and dried goods to take with them. Pantry hours are 9:30 am –11:00 am and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily.
Youth with primary health care needs can check in with staff with our visiting doctor and nurse practitioner.
We can accept and provide donations, and are specifically looking for rain gear for our clients.
