DESCRIPTION:This is a free afterschool program open to SD40 students around grades 5-6 and requires no previous kitchen skills or aptitude. \nTeachers can refer students they think would most benefit from participating in the program\, and who would blossom with an activity based on skill-building\, peer-interaction\, and the opportunity to engage with trusted adults from the community.  By providing these children with an opportunity to build real-life skills\, the children may discover an aptitude for cooking that could turn into a career.
