DESCRIPTION:Join Family Services of Greater Vancouver as we celebrate Family Day with Vancouver Public Library! \nOn Wednesday\, February 12 come see us in the promenade at Central Branch from 10am to 2pm where we will: \n👉 Have colouring and Origami (paper-folding) activities for kids \n👉 Provide an RESP (education saving) workshops for parents – children are welcome to attend! \n👉 Run a Piggy Bank Workshop for children and their parents to teach children to save \n👉 Chat with you about what’s tough for your family \n👉 Refer you to resources and programming that’d be a good fit for your family’s specific needs \n👉 Discuss the problems we’re seeing families face – and the solutions FSGV is working toward \nWe’ve teamed up with the folks at VPL to strengthen families in our community. You define family; we support it. That means connecting you and your family to what you need: \nFeeling the stress of the ongoing cost of living crisis?\nFinancial Empowerment is here for you with free 1-on-1 coaching and workshops on budgeting\, accessing and maximizing benefits\, registered savings\, and filing taxes. \nLooking to boost what you know about your child’s emotional\, physical\, and mental development?\nWe have parenting groups that parents and caregivers can attend to learn about their child’s development and how to support it. \nFree workshops\nCome join our 15-minute workshops by experienced financial coaches and family counsellors on various topics.
