SUMMARY:Saving for Retirement
DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder how much you’ll need for retirement? Do you worry as to whether you will have enough? Of course there are many factors that will determine how much we need. However\, a plan for funding our retirement is essential for everyone. \nThe workshop will explore how to fund your retirement\, developing a retirement plan\, Government sources of funding such as Canada Pension Plan (CPP)\, Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)\, types of individual tax efficient savings plans such as Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Tax Free Savings Plans (TFSAs). We will also look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of each and how to use these various plans strategically. \nPresented in partnership with Vancouver Public Library \n*Registration required. \nTo join this Zoom event you will need a computer\, tablet or phone with internet access.
