Heidi Yang is a strategic, values-driven executive with nearly three decades of leadership experience across regulatory, forestry, and manufacturing sectors. As Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Geoscientists BC, she leads with vision, integrity, and a strong commitment to public interest regulation, organizational excellence, and stakeholder trust.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Heidi has a strong track record of building positive workplace cultures, advancing value-added programs, engaging diverse stakeholders, and leading organizations through times of change. She brings thoughtful governance experience from professional, community, and non-profit boards, including Terra Centre, APEGA Council, Edmonton Glenora Rotary Club, and the Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce.
Heidi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and earned her ICD.D designation in 2025. She is passionate about strengthening communities through principled governance, inclusive leadership, and service.
