Alex Cheong is a CPA, CA, CBV and MBA with senior leadership experience spanning audit oversight, financial reporting, business valuation and governance. He is Director of Inspections and Valuations at the Canadian Public Accountability Board, where he leads work involving complex accounting estimates and valuations and engages with audit firms, boards and other stakeholders on audit quality. Alex also serves on the International Valuation Standards Council’s Standards Review Board.
His prior experience includes roles as a public-company CFO and controller, as well as senior positions in professional services focused on valuation and financial advisory matters. He has also served as Treasurer and a Board Member of MOSAIC, contributing to financial oversight and organizational sustainability. Alex would bring to FSGV a combination of financial expertise, regulatory perspective and practical governance experience, together with a strong commitment to organizations that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
