Support for Seniors Experiencing Harm (New Westminster)

Published:

In New Westminster, Family Services of Greater Vancouver operates a Victim Support program for seniors experiencing harm.

This program does not require a referral, so you can get in touch with us if you or someone you know may be in need of support.

You do NOT have to file a police report or press charges to get help.
Our program is not part of law enforcement. Talking with us and working with us will not get anyone, you or a loved one, in trouble. We respect your choices and will work with you to find the best path forward, for you, on your terms. Whether you need information, someone to talk to, or help exploring your options, we are here. Your safety, dignity, and well-being matter.

If you are 55 or older and feel you are being treated unfairly, we want you to know: you are not alone.

There is free, confidential support for seniors in New West.

Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. But sometimes, older adults are treated in ways that don’t feel rightphysically, emotionally, or financially. You might not think of it as abuse, but if someone is making you feel scared, pressured, taken advantage of, or controlled, help is available
