Step back in time to 1928 …
Mary McPhedran is a Vancouver social worker who has the compassionate foresight to found Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV). Beginning with a $25 donation, the agency opens its doors with a single case worker. But from modest beginnings, much can grow. For 90 years, her vision has created brighter tomorrows for generations of families in need. Join us as we celebrate her legacy of hope for the tens of thousands of individuals and families we serve every year.
On October 24, guests will be transported to a 1920s speakeasy, while enjoying the Terminal City Club’s delectable menu. Join us for this cocktail-style event as we welcome 300+ business and philanthropic leaders to celebrate this meaningful milestone with music, merriment, funds to raise, and—of course—wine. FSGV is partnering with international consulates to profile their regions’ most exquisite vintages and varietals, all in support of individuals and families in need.
Formerly the Brighter Tomorrows Annual Fundraising Luncheon, the Speakeasy Soirée aims to raise the bar—more new supporters in attendance, more funds raised, and much more fun to be had! The event will feature live music, roaming entertainment, silent and live auctions using Givergy technology and more, all while you discover international wines with fellow supporters of FSGV.
