Volunteers and community support expand what we’re able to offer the youth, families, and survivors we support.
There’s more we can do together.
Some of our volunteer opportunities do not include direct interaction with our clients, some do. There are many ways to help and to share your skills and strengths.

Our current volunteer opportunities include:
2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Volunteer
Directions Youth Services hosts weekly games, movie nights, and other activities for our 2SLGBTQIA+ youth at the Drop-In Centre. We are looking for volunteers to support staff in running these events and who are willing to make an ongoing commitment to volunteering with us.
This is an in-person volunteer opportunity.

Art Program Facilitator
This volunteer opportunity is for individuals who are experienced at working with at-risk youth and feel comfortable working with youth independently. The person is meant to help our Art Program Coordinator in overseeing program activities and use of the art room at Directions Youth Services.

Food Program Volunteer
This volunteer position is to support our 24/7/365 youth Drop-In Centre’s Food Program. We are looking for individuals who are willing to commit to regular shifts to assist with prepping and serving nightly meals, sorting food donations, cleaning the kitchen, and washing dishes. This is an in-person volunteer opportunity at our downtown Vancouver youth centre.

Harm Reduction Volunteer
Directions Youth Services is looking for someone to help build Harm Reduction Kits for our Outreach team and Drop-In Centre staff to distribute. Volunteer help with these kits make it possible for our workers to have more time connecting with and supporting our vulnerable youth.
