Supercooks! (Lord Kelvin)

An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until May 30, 2023

This is a free afterschool program open to SD40 students around grades 5-6 and requires no previous kitchen skills or aptitude.
Teachers can refer students they think would most benefit from participating in the program, and who would blossom with an activity based on skill-building, peer-interaction, and the opportunity to engage with trusted adults from the community. By providing these children with an opportunity to build real-life skills, the children may discover an aptitude for cooking that could turn into a career. The afterschool cooking program will also introduce the value of nutrition and healthy eating at early age.
